Event Location: Mojave, California
The days after Thanksgiving are an exciting time to get away from the chaos of black Friday and to spend a few days in the Desert.
Of course, anytime in the winter is a wonderful time to in the desert with beautiful days, clear blue skies and the smell of the creosote bushes.
The T&T Rail Road Adventure is on a much-needed sojourn. Its replacement is within easy reach here in SoCal, near Trona, CA.
This is the best time of year to visit the Desert. This adventure is 2 days of scenic, moderate and thrilling wheeling with a night of primitive camping under a blanket of stars. If the night is clear, the milky way be brilliant!
We plan to avoid the snow in the north and in the mountains and enjoy the southern California Deserts.
Expect the terrain to range from rocks, high shelf roads with steep, narrow sections with a high risk of pinstriping. High desert, rolling hills, rocky canyons, and soft sand.
This is the desert. It can get cold and night and we have no control over the wind or heat.
You need a stock SUV or 4WD vehicle with 4 low range capability. Rock sliders while not needed, are a great confidence booster.
