Driving a Toyota Hilux 4×4, you will follow winding mountain roads, desert tracks and sections of the legendary Ruta 40. The route passes through vineyard country, colorful rock formations, colonial villages and the brilliant white expanse of the Salinas Grandes salt flats.
High-altitude roads climb to more than 15,700 feet, reaching Andean communities that few international visitors experience. Expedition leaders guide the convoy through the changing terrain while taking care of the route, logistics, and on-road support.
Days of exploration are balanced with boutique accommodations, memorable meals and cultural experiences, including wine-country dining, the Train to the Clouds and time with local Andean communities.
