Wavian NATO Military Steel Jerry Can – 5L/1.32 Gallon

$69.95

These are the real deal and are now legal again. These cans do not leak! They are the ones I recommend. However, the penalty we have to pay to get these cans again is that every can must come with a CARB approved spout. That adds about $30 dollars to the can. Still worth it. I have cans built during WWII that still hold gasoline and do not leak. (I am not that old. I bought them surplus.)

Description

These are the real deal and are now legal again. These cans do not leak! They are the ones I recommend. However, the penalty we have to pay to get these cans again is that every can must come with a CARB approved spout. That adds about $30 dollars to the can. Still worth it. I have cans built during WWII that still hold gasoline and do not leak. (I am not that old. I bought them surplus.)

These are brand-new, original, jerry cans made to the highest specs directly from the Factory that has been manufacturing them for the various NATO militaries.

Fully paint-coated inside and outside. The highest quality Jerry can out there. Original Mil Spec. EPA, CARB and DOT approved. Manufactured from 0.9mm Cold Rolled Steel ( DC 04 EN 10130). Dual pan construction. Unique wide channel breather for better smoother pouring. Seam welded for extra strength. Lined inside with fuel resistant Rezol enamel to prevent rusting. Painted exterior epoxy polyester powder coat.

Each can comes with a safety spout attached and also has an adapter for vehicles with smaller filler receivers. Have a full, internal breather pipe for splash-proof pouring.

Three Handle Configuration. Leakproof Bayonet Closure. Locking pin in cap. Strengthened hinge on cap to prevent accidental bending when closing. Cap designed to hold open when discharging the can.

Manufactured and tested to comply with the following standards:

  • DIN 7274 and BAM – GGR001.
  • Australian Standard – AS 2906.
  • German Standard–TUV/GS.
  • Swedish Standard-SP.
  • UN–Dangerous goods approval.

The cans come in 3 sizes – 20L, 10L, & 5L. The 20 liter can holds 5.3 gallons. At a minimum you need to take 2 of the 20L cans for most remote 4-wheeling trips. I like to have a couple more (in total enough to fill my tank at least once) in the garage in case of an emergency. The 10 Liter holds just over 2.6 gallons. They are handy for lawn mowers, generators, and to loan to a friend who ran out of gas. The 10L is a nice size for short road trips when you just want a the comfort of a bit of backup. You know – the time when you passed up a gas station thinking another one would be just up the road and it was closed. The 5 liter is cute and would work for the lawn mower, generator, etc. but I don’t own one. Storage space is always a problem and I would prefer one larger can to several smaller ones. A steel can holder is also available. It has predrilled holes for mounting and the can can be locked into the holder.
